+ Why would I want to use SERVD?

Because it’s awesome. Actually, there are a host of reasons, but focused primarily on convenience. No waiting for someone to come by and take your order. No waiting for someone to ask you if you’d like another beverage or dessert. No waiting for your check. Dine on your terms, at your pace.

+ Where do I find the restaurant?

When you log into SERVD you will see a list of restaurants. Select your restaurant and begin to browse the menu.

+ Where do I find the table number?

You will find the table number either on a medallion affixed to the table or on a business card your host or hostess placed on the table when you were sat.

+ How do I place a takeout order?

Easy. Instead of a table number, simply choose the "Place Take-Out Order" option and enter your order for pickup!

+ Do I have to tip?

You don’t. One of the primary reasons for the creation of SERVD was to streamline the dining experience, removing much of the labor expended by the waitstaff. No waiting to order, description of the menu, or manual checkout. The restaurant receives this benefit and it is passed along to you. However, if you so desire, there is an option for a tip.

+ What do I do if I need help?

There is an “assist” button that you click for the times you need help. It is visible on every screen and notifies the restaurant staff, who will send a person to assist.

+ How do I change my order?

You can’t. Once your order is submitted and confirmed as received by the kitchen, that means they have begun to prepare it, and it’s on the way!

+ What happens if I forget to pay?

No need to worry or call the restaurant. At the end of the night, when the restaurant closes, all open checks will be billed to the credit card on file.
